Meet the Doctors
Meet the experienced and friendly doctors who make Lake Country Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Hartland.

Amber Dentz, O.D.
I have been practicing optometry in the lake country area since I graduated from Optometry School in 2001. I grew up in East Troy, WI and graduated Valedictorian of my class in 1992. I then attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison and received my Bachelor of Science in 1996. GO BADGERS!!! Instead of heading right to graduate school, I took a year off and moved to Portland, OR where I worked for an optometrist and explored up and down the west coast! In 1997 I started Optometry School at Indiana University-Bloomington and graduated with high honors in 2001. During school I was chosen to be an assistant instructor for a number of classes and received awards in academics and contact lens expertise.
I am a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Wisconsin Optometric Association. I have served on the Wisconsin Optometric Association Board of Directors since 2009, I am currently the President Elect, and will serve as President in 2020 (I thought that was appropriate!). In 2010 I was extremely honored to receive the WOA Young Optometrist of the Year award from my peers! I enjoy volunteer work, so I participate in a program that performs vision screenings at Special Olympics events, in addition, I frequently lead local vision screening programs. I also love to volunteer at my children’s schools in Hartland and sponsor numerous programs there as well.
I live in Hartland with my husband, Aaron; two children, Lauren and Brody; and two dogs. I enjoy downhill skiing, golfing, walking, and yoga. I enjoy traveling and I especially love spending time with my wonderful family and friends!

Andy practiced in Colby, WI for 15 years prior to relocating to southeastern Wisconsin in 2016.
Andy appreciates the wonderful simplicity and complexity of our visual system. He stresses the importance of routine preventative eye care. His interests include the ocular manifestations of systemic disease. In his spare time, Andy enjoys adventures with his family (wife Pam, and Jackson, Sam, Ray, Charlie and Caroline). His hobbies include biking, hiking, skiing and travel.
