Amber A. Dentz, OD

I have been practicing optometry in the Lake Country area since I graduated from Optometry School in 2001. I grew up in East Troy, WI, and then attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison and received my BS in 1996. GO BADGERS!!!

I lived in Portland, OR for a year where I worked for an optometrist and explored up and down the west coast! I attended Optometry School at Indiana University-Bloomington where I was chosen to be an assistant instructor for several classes and received awards in academics and contact lens expertise.

I am a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Wisconsin Optometric Association. I have served on the Wisconsin Optometric Association Board of Directors since 2009, including a year as WOA President in 2020.

In 2010 I was extremely honored to receive the WOA Young Optometrist of the Year award from my peers!

I enjoy volunteer work, so I participate in a program that performs vision screenings at Special Olympics events, in addition, I frequently lead local vision screening programs. I also love to volunteer at my children’s schools in Hartland and sponsor numerous programs there as well.

I live in Hartland with my husband, Aaron; two children, Lauren and Brody; and two dogs. I enjoy golf, downhill skiing, and yoga. I enjoy traveling and I especially love spending time with my wonderful family and friends
